Description

From filing taxes, making or receiving payments, and accessing government services, to implementing trusted trader and traveler programs, facilitating legitimate travel and trade, and safeguarding our borders, robust identity and access management is critical to enabling the majority of citizen services.  This session will be a series of individual talks led by current senior officials from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), and the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Internal Revenue Service (IRS).  They will each: (1) provide an overview of the current state of government policies and technology developments for identity management in citizen services; (2) discuss the challenges and issues that exist and what is being done today to overcome them; and (3) explore innovative approaches by each of these federal agencies to advance trusted identity solutions for citizen services.
